8 HOUR ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCE USE AWARENESS CLASS FOR ADOLESCENTS
At Vista Counseling, we offer a comprehensive 8-hour Substance Abuse Awareness Class designed specifically for adolescents. This program provides psychoeducation to help teens better understand the impact of substance use and to make informed, healthy choices.




What you will learn
The effects of alcohol and drugs on the developing brain and body
Facts vs. myths about substance use and addiction
Decision-making skills to avoid risky behaviors
Legal and personal consequences of underage drinking and drug use
Strategies for building healthy coping skills and resilience


How we teach
the class


The class is delivered in a supportive group setting over four sessions, each lasting two hours (total of 8 hours).
This structure allows participants to learn gradually, engage in discussions, and reflect on the material in a safe, non-judgmental environment.

Adolescents who may be at risk for substance use or have had early experiences with alcohol or drugs
Teens referred by schools, parents, or community organizations for prevention or early intervention
