A mental health immigration evaluation is a psychological assessment used by immigration officials to help determine whether an individual serves as a candidate to remain in the United States. In the immigration case, a mental health evaluation is a tool used by the judge or officer to assist with the outcome of the case. How We Conduct Immigration Evaluations

1. Clinical Interview

We conduct a thorough interview with the client to understand their history, current mental health status, and the psychological impact of their immigration situation.

2. Psychological Assessment

When appropriate, we utilize mental health assessments to provide objective data regarding mental health conditions.

3. Review of Documentation

We review relevant medical records, or other legal documents provided by the legal representative to ensure a comprehensive report.

4. Detailed Report Preparation

We draft a professional, evidence-based report that clearly outlines the psychological findings and how they relate to the specific immigration case requirements.

Steps to Take Before Requesting an Immigration Evaluation

1. Legal Consultation

Ensure you have discussed your case with an immigration attorney who has recommended a mental health evaluation for your specific petition.

2. Gather Information

Prepare all relevant background information, including your case number, attorney contact details, and any significant legal or medical history.

  • The evaluation has a cost that must be paid directly by the client. It is not covered by health insurance.
