Neurofeedback

What is Neurofeedback?

Neurofeedback is direct training of brain function, by which the brain learns to function more efficiently. We observe the brain in action from moment to moment. We show that information back to the person. And we reward the brain for changing its own activity to more appropriate patterns. This is a gradual learning process that helps the brain improve its self-regulation and overall performance.

How Does it Work?

The process begins with placing sensitive electrodes on the scalp to monitor brainwave activity. These sensors detect your brain's electrical patterns in real-time, translating them into visual or auditory feedback. This warm, non-invasive professional approach allows your brain to recognize and adjust its own activity, fostering more efficient neural pathways through gentle reinforcement.

What Can It Help?

Neurofeedback is a versatile tool that can assist with a wide range of challenges, including seizures, behavior disorders, autism spectrum, cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, and sleep problems such as bed wetting, night terrors, and sleep walking. It is also highly effective for issues including anxiety, depression, and drug abuse, as well as enhancing overall cognitive performance for those seeking mental clarity.

Traumatic Brain Injury

Supporting cognitive recovery by retraining neural pathways to restore focus, memory, and emotional regulation after brain injury.

A minimum of 20 sessions are required, 2–3 times per week. After the 20 sessions the client will be assessed, and if some symptoms persist, more sessions will be needed. Every treatment plan is individualized based on the client's needs.
